Project financial summary

View actual revenue, expenses, and cash flows posted against a project.

4 min read

The project financial summary aggregates all transactions tagged to the project — automatically from posted invoices, bills, and journals — so you can see the real financial position without any manual data entry.

  • Open the project and click Financial Summary.
  • The summary shows: Revenue, Expenses, Cash In, Cash Out, Commitments, and Inventory movements.
  • Compare actuals against the budget using the Budget vs Actuals table at account level.
  • Filter by date range to see performance for a specific period within the project.

Invoices and bills tagged to a project update the financial summary automatically. You don't need to manually allocate them unless the transaction wasn't tagged at creation time.
