Processing supplier bills
Enter supplier invoices, match them to purchase orders, and post to accounts payable.

A supplier bill is the accounting record of what you owe a supplier. It posts to Accounts Payable in the general ledger and appears in the payable aging report.
- 1Go to Purchasing → Bills and click New, or open a receipt and click Create Bill.
- 2Enter the supplier's invoice number and invoice date (this drives aging).
- 3Review line items and amounts — they carry over from the receipt.
- 4If the bill requires approval, submit to workflow. Otherwise post directly.
- 5The bill appears in the Accounts Payable aging report once posted.
Posting a bill is irreversible. To correct it, raise a Debit Note (purchase return) to reverse the relevant lines.
