Follow a production order from planning through finished-stock receipt and final closure.

Step by step

  1. 1Complete advanced setup first: products, BOM, work centres, routing, material issue, costing accounts and any required quality or approval controls.
  2. 2Create a new production order, load its BOM and confirm the branch, planned quantity, component requirements and scheduled date. Save and reopen it.
  3. 3Click Submit for approval and complete any required approval. Once approved, use Release. Release freezes the applicable routing and cost information.
  4. 4If a production control request is pending, decide it in Approvals. Then open Production Planning → Control requests and click Apply on the approved request. Approval alone does not execute the action.
  5. 5Click Start production when ready. Open Shop floor, choose the work centre and order operation, and start the operation.
  6. 6Record materials issued, applicable labour and operation results. Finish each operation in routing order; preceding operations can block later ones.
  7. 7If quality control is required, record the inspection results in Quality and output → Inspections and resolve failures or rework.
  8. 8Open Quality and output → Output. Select an eligible order, review output quantities and enter receipt, manufacture and required expiry details. Include configured co-products or by-products, then Receive finished output.
  9. 9Review WIP and variances in Production Costing. When the order is completed and all results are correct, enter the closure date and use Close order.

Finishing work is not the same as receiving finished stock. There is one output receipt per order on the current output screen. Receipt posting and final closure must be checked carefully; closure blocks further production changes.
