Configure the optional advanced workflow before creating your first advanced order.

Step by step

  1. 1Open Production → Advanced Production → Settings as the workspace owner. Enable Advanced Production, Work centres and Routings. Enable multi-level BOMs only if you use subassemblies.
  2. 2In Work Centres, create the departments, machines or teams that perform work. Configure their calendars, available capacity and applicable labour or overhead rates.
  3. 3In Routings, define the ordered operations for the product, each work centre and its setup and run times. For example: Cutting → Assembly → Painting → Packing.
  4. 4Use Production Setup for the available setup tools and work-centre presets. Review any preset before creating centres so it fits your business.
  5. 5In Production Costing → Settings, enable Shop floor and Material issue. Enable Labour costing and Overhead absorption only when their rates, rules and accounts are ready.
  6. 6Select a Work in Progress asset account and the applicable absorption accounts with your accountant. Configure Employee rates and Overhead rules as needed.
  7. 7Configure optional Quality and output settings, inspection plans and Production Planning approval controls before releasing orders.

Advanced features are workspace-specific and opt-in. Setup changes do not rewrite the frozen routing or costing snapshots of already released orders.
